Fished the special regs section of the Little Lehigh. The water was low and clear, no temp reading as my thermometer somehow released itself from the retract somewhere on the way to the stream
Arrived around 10 am and parked in the LL fly shop lot and fished the section upstream to the hatchery. No hatch happening (saw a few tricos and other assortied bugs in the air) but no real surface activity.
Just about every pool had a couple trout that were rising every few seconds and in about 1.5 hours I caught 2 rainbows (stocked) about 12" each, a nice brookie about 14" and one brown around 18" with a nice hooked jaw. All were caught on a #18 light cahill dry with a 6x tippet. Hooked one other rainbow about the same size as the others and missed several other hits, all on the #18 light cahill. I tried a few midge larve in the runs but had no success.
Lots and lots of leaves on the water, which was both good and bad. Good because I think the leaves hid my leader well and bad because just about on every pickup I was hooking a leaf.
