Little Lehigh Creek, Lehigh County, 10/24/11

Fished the C&R area near the fly shop. Spent a couple hours teaching my daughter how to fly fish. The stream temp was 53F. Cloudy skies with the sun getting through every so often and air temps in the 50s. A really nice day to fish with the weather and leaves turning. The stream flow seemed a little above what I would expect this time of year, but not too high or off color. No real hatches, but did see a few midges. We landed one rainbow while fishing a nymph on the bottom and missed one other. We saw a handful of other anglers, and a couple of them landed fish. I've been lurking on this site far too long, I hope to post more reports in the future. Great site! 🙂

Hope your daughter enjoyed it. Have to take my girls out soon. Trying to teach a 5yo how to fly fish just seems a bit intimidating.
