Fished the Little Lehigh in Allentown yesterday from 1100 ‘till about 1430. Water was up and clear, air temps around 50 with a brisk wind. Managed a nice rainbow about 18 “ just below the bridge at the fly shop on a 18 bead head Walt’s worm and a couple more brows on small BWO’s during a good afternoon hatch. With a lot more takes than hook ups, gonna’ get some wide gap 18 and 20 hooks unless someone has a better idea.
Bought a couple hand tied leaders at the fly shop and found the owner friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the locals who were friendly and helpful as well but mostly ‘cause they speak in ‘coal cracker ease’, a dialect I grew up with. “Hey yo’ butt”
Tight lines,
