Initially headed back to Tully, quickly hooked into two nice browns then they released water...Still being early in the day, decided to find somewhere else to fish.
Headed to the Little Lehigh around 10:30am, air temp was 35, water was low 40's, and it was snowing. Needless to say, I was the only one out there, which was great. Flows were just a bit above the mean.
Fished the FFO section and tossed the streamer first but only got some chasing fish, no strikes. Put the streamer rod away and fished a sz 18 frenchie under a small yarn indicator and hooked into brown that was about 14" in a small pocket. Hooked another slightly upstream but wasn't able to land it.
Saw a few palominos hanging around and decided to waste my time sight fishing to them. Casted upstream to them to watch them stare at my entire nymph arsenal and never take. Saw one sporadically rise and decided to throw some small dries without even an inspection. Decided to go crazy and throw a small hopper and to my surprise...it followed and took! My first palomino...on a hopper on the surface in the snow. Haha.
Anyway, that was the last fish of the day...headed home at 2:30p.
