Little late posting this from last weeks trip.
Stream was in great shape last week, landed 10 in about an hour at dusk including two over 16". Fish were all very colored up. Nymphing. Only fished about 150 feet of a single head of a pool/riffle and one side channel briefly. Slightly stained water and was flowing in the high 200s which is my preference for wading there especially when it's cold and dark.
Today, stream was back down in the high 200s and weather was nice. Slipped in for an hour after work to cold water temps (forgot to take, but my toes were freezing after an hour) and fairly clear water despite the big rain/blow out we had. Landed 4 in about an hour, all cookie cutter. Had one 12" that fought well enough. Fish were taking more on the swing than the tight line. Was a little slower than I expected.
Tight lines
