Fished the class A section on Saturday. Surprised to see so many other guys out w the temps...we had a solid day. Parked a few miles south of Tyrone and fished up to the old railroad bridge. It was
in the 20s when we got started around 9:30. Water was clear and had a nice flow. We fished until close to 3, and found some nice fish. I landed 3 browns, all on copper John sz 18. My buddy caught 2 browns and 2 rainbows, he had success w an olive birds nest, sz 16.
I was hesitant to make the long drive out to Tyrone from the Pittsburgh area, but I'm glad my friend talked me into it. Felt great to get out and hook into some fish!
Here are 2 of the Browns I caught.

I think you were probably in one of the groups my buddy and I ran into Saturday. Nice fish, glad to see you had some luck also! I was in the wrangler.

Oh, yeah...we came in just after you, there were 3 of us. Sorry your day got cut short. I bet that was cold. At least you guys made it back out Sunday and found some fish.

I thought that was you, since you mentioned you guys were from the western part of the state. We actually went back to the jeep, gave my buddy my spare clothes to wear with his, and some trashbags to keep his legs and feet warm from the little bit of water in his waders, and headed back out after he warmed up a bit. Drove upstream a few hundred feet then walked up about 1/4 mile or so past where you fished up to. I miss posted the date on my stream report. He was a little chilly but not bad once he got fresh clothes on. If he had gone completely under the day probably would have ended though.

Oh ok...that's good then. Glad to hear you didn't make that drive for nothing. It's funny, right after you guys left, my buddy was backing up, hit a rock and almost went down. He dropped into a full squat and caught himself. Def not the day to be going for a swim haha
