Little Juniata, Huntingdon Co, 8-4-13

I fished Spring in the canyon on Saturday. The water was in good shape. I was hoping for some trico action in the AM but it never really seemed to materialize. I saw some fish rising but nothing consistent. Caught a couple on foam ants, but did the best by far with a cream midge underneath.
 
Fished spring last week. It is really fishing well this year. I did have Trico's but all my fish were caught underneath. It was a good day.
 
I fished spring on wed of last week, for an hour. We went to state college for the day for our anniversary and she let me fish while she got her hair done lol. It was early evening about 530, some tan caddis here or there. Landed one on a foam beetle, missed 2 more on ants. Great water for August, it fished like early june. Stay low and cast along the banks with dry beetles or ants if your looking for topwater action.

Friday evening, Saturday morning and evening, and Sunday evening/night on The J.

Tc, you live close to the area?
 
I actually live just north of Pittsburgh, so it can be a little haul to get out there. With that said, I try to fish the area as much as possible.
