Fished the Little J on Monday from 8am-8pm. Nymphing was productive in the morning with Pheasant Tail imitations. Right around 1pm the Sulphurs started hatching and continued for the next 5 hours. Fish were keying in on them and the top water action was great! We hung around till dark but no spinner fall. Great Day on the J.

Posted some pics of the fish on my blog

Thanks for the report. How did Sunday's rain effect the creek?

Grobe,

Nice blog. I fished the Little J for the first time on Friday before the storms. We fished the Gorge section above Baree. Got a few nymphing during the afternoon. The fish really turned on at about 5:00 to the sulfers and midges with fish rising everywhere. Landed many fish in the 12-15" range by the second railroad bridge. Awesome stream.
The swarms of sulfer spinners above the riffles was incredible.

Alot of train traffic. Their must have been a train every 15minutes go by.

It's like that every day of the year. The trains come by so often you don't even notice them.
