Just a small little update for those interested, water temps are rising - in the 40's and getting warmer, I've seen olives both days over the weekend and seen a few fish rise to them in the evening.

Water is a bit high, but there isn't much rain in the forecast this week so fishing should be prime for the weekend.
Nymphing will produce, small baetis imitations will bring fish to net along with the stand-bys (walts worms, hares ears etc..)
Watch for the olives and risers in the afternoon

Any snow in that neck of the woods waiting to melt?

Most of the snow has gone, rain Saturday night wiped out most of it and brought levels up a bit. There are some remaining snowdrifts that will melt but I don't foresee that making a dent in the levels.

Check out the snow depth map for PA. I would say the LJ has quite a bit of snow on the ground.

In NEPA and the Upper D the snow should be there until Memorial Day, or so.

Maybe afish is right, but there isn't any visible snow on the ground except some leftover drifts in the valleys of Altoona-tyrone-huntingdon, not sure how the entire watershed pulls itself together and if the snow on the mountains will play a part or not
