I hit the water around 7AM. The water was a nice 60 degrees and it was up, reading around 350 at Spruce Creek. I fished below the parking lot at Barree. At this flow, you can wade most areas down there. The water was slightly stained with about 1.5ft. visability. Anyhow I took a skunk. Everything looked like it should be a good day but the fish said otherwise. Even the "Douple Worm" couldn't muster a hit. After fishing a few "guaranteed spots" with no hits, I gave up around 11AM...........Drove over to St. College and hit Spring at Benner Springs. First taking a temp on the water. It was at 64 so I gave it a go. Fished down from the "new parking lot" to just above the old prison grounds. Netted a few with one being a nice 16" brownie on the "worm". Saw one rise. Tossed an ant with a wet ant dropper and picked up two on the wet one. A few took an olive caddis pupae. WT was 66 at 3PM so I quit fishing. PS no one else fishing the J where I was, but at Spring, saw at least half dozen guys on the water.
