Arrived in Spruce Creek at approximately 1:00 PM, parked in the church lot, and fished the riffles upstream.

Water levels were good, became muddy and high by 6:00 PM.

Fished a nymph tandem -

Dropper - GD Catnip caddis larvae - heavy fly, size 14
Point - Frenchie, size 18

6x leader, spilt shot for deeper water.

This is my go to set of Flies on the Little J

Landed half dozen nice browns fish on both flies, also I lost quite a few fish – spit my fly out, light 6x leader. The fish seem so much bigger this year on the Little J, very few 6,8 inchers.

No surface activites, few caddis fluttering.

Always fish the Little J when possible, always consistent, always can count on activity using nymphs

Have a great day
