Decided to take a trip out to the Little J for the day. Started in the gorge, working my way upstream nymphing, catching a couple of nice browns then turned around and worked my way downstream with dries when I noticed plenty of fish rising. I noticed quite a few caddis in the air. Caddis pattern resulted in a very busy afternoon. I wish I lived a little closer to here, this is such a remarkable stream. I left the gorge and drove a little ways downstream a below the trailer park. No fish rising so I went back to nymphing and managed a few more browns. Overall it was a very productive day.

That’s a long ride from NE Philly for one day, glad you had a good trip. Looks like you had another good day on the Little Lehigh if that is Gary Borger in your avatar.

It was a great two days with Gary Borger at the Little Lehigh. I learned more in two days of him teaching than I have learned since I started fly fishing.

I was down from the gorge on Sunday and had a good afternoon as well. Lots of Caddis when I arrived.
