my brother and I started out on a small trib of little bald eagle to try for natives and wild browns. it was our first time here, and even though this stream is on the wild trout list, were always skeptical. stream conditions: low and clear, water temp 51 degrees! wasnt a great day for numbers, but a decent one(at least for me) landing two brookies and two browns all on dries. Forgot to add that i lost my dry fly box with about 50 of my ties in it.
Then on our way home we decided to stop at the j near tyrone milling. Our first water temp was 64, so we started fishing but then we realized there was a spring trickling in just above from where we took the temp. so we moved up above the spring and took another temp. 70 degrees. we moved downstream to pemberton and took another temp, 63 degrees at 6:30 PM. Fish were taking emergers right near dark but not consistently. my brother brought one to hand, I hooked a bunch but couldnt get one in the net. Just before we left i had a 20"+ take me on 2 second run and snap me. just a great day to be on the water.
