Paul G and I made our annual fall prilgraimage to the Little J Tuesday. We like to get there before the fingerlings get stocked. We had a beautiful day for both weather and fishing. We had caddis and craneflies in the am, slate drakes and bwo's in the afternoon and spinners at twilight. Cooperative fish made it even better. One BFOD was a 17" brownie who fell victim to a crowe beetle. I caught all my fish on Slate srake dries, crowe beetles, Iso nymphs, Caddis larvae, and rusty spinners. Paul got his on Caddis and beetles. I think the score went something 17 16...always feels good to whoop the old man.
