This is the section from the Spruce Creek testle to the testle below the Pemberton bridge
The property was sold at auction Friday for 1.35 million. A group of PFBC, Clearwater Conservancy, LJRA worked to try to get the property. Clearwater (the lead) went up to 1.3 million. It was assessed at ~900K.
A few things. The owner of the property gave the group ample time to put together a package. A prior auction was even cancelled/delayed. Organizations move more slowly.
The new owner is a fly fisherman, grew up in the area and is conservation-minded. He has a track record. He stated he was open to the idea of an easement for part of the property.
The other tracks of land were sold to an amish farming group who will keep farming on the location. So, no development is likely to occur.
Overall, not the best outcome, but also not the worse.

Man, its been so long. I seem to remember a short gravel side road/right of way in that general area by a ratty/run-down place with POSTED signs, 35 yrs ago. I remember the trestle.
