Monday 3/31/25 Center county little J ,only saw 2 rises all day so ended up nymphing for the most part, 10 fish total in 4 hrs all but one on a size 18 olive emerger however the biggest came on very small cream colored egg pattern .all flys used had no weight incorporated in them used tungsten putty for weight and the strike indicator was used .here's a few

I wanna be this productive.

Tungsten putty for weight instead of weighted flies prolly gave you more control over depth which helped with the right drift.

If I am nymphing, whether it be with bobbers or tight-line tactics, I am having split shot or weight on my leader. The only time I am tossing nymphs out there with nothing (no weight, bobber, or euro leader) on just a standard leader is when there are bugs hatching and fish rising to eat them. When fish are eating emergers, you can catch a pile of fish by keeping your nymphs floating in the upper part of the water column.

Weight is very important for nymphing most of the time, at least in my opinion.

The BWO were definitely hatching that day according to the gentleman that was with me very few Grannoms
