Not the more famous Little Juniata. And not as many trout although last year I had some very good outings on this stream. A pile of midges on the rather warm water and towards evening it appeared the March Browns were hatching while the quills were having a spinnerfall. Also saw caddis and a couple sulphurs. Easily most insects I've seen so far. Only 5 with two wilds and what sure looked like a stocked fingerling.

I was on that stream the same night you were. I was driving around for an hour looking for an open hole to fish. I only saw one other fly guy with a red F150 in the parking area, may you? I pick up a 17" golden rainbow near last light and that was it as everywhere I went there was someone in the normal dry fly hot spots.

I've been picking up those fingerlings a lot during the caddis hatches. They stocked them last fall at some point, theyve been doing it every year for the last 3 or 4 years.

Been spending a lot of time there as well and doing great with, Hendrickson’s, Caddis March Browns and Sulphurs. Lots of 4 to 5 “ browns along with the stockers. The local clubs float stocked so I walk a little up or down stream and have been fishing by myself most of the time. Usually go out after dinner and only go a couple miles from Bloomfield but I have been catching a half dozen or more every night.

They are scheduled to put some more fingerling Rainbows in this week, and they put rainbows in last fall as well so I believe the browns I getting might be native.

Although there are some worm chuckers out, the only experience I had was when a pre- teenager started casting hardware into a pod of risers I was fishing and his dad quickly let him know that was the wrong thing to do.
