Fished the dog park area today from 1 to 330. Caught 8 on a standard color copper john and 4 on a midge. Lots of bug activity once it warmed up although I didn't know what they were - had a sort of dirty yellow color and the CJ was the closest thing I had. I caught one in my hand but forgot to get a pic of it.

The dog park is a fun area when it has good a flow as it does now. You don't usually need to be very accurate with matching prevailing insects as long as you get a good drift at the proper depth. Unfortunately they will have that crazy contest there and it will be clogged with meat hunters in the fairly near future. BTW, that is The main branch of Darby; Little Darby runs in a few miles upstream.

How is the habitat now that the dam has been removed for at least a couple of seasons?

Thanks for the heads up. I've only fished up to where the houses start on the right when heading upstream. Is it any good any further than that?
