Was doing some yard work this morning and deciced I'd rather be fishing so I went to Lititz Run around 11:30. Glad I did because I finally landed a nice Brown on this stream for the first time after many years of getting skunked. Can't tell you what water temp was because my battery in my thermometer died . Water flow was nice and felt cold. Was in the conservancy area using a 18 BH Flashback when he nailed it. Fished about 2 hours and rolled another however it was great to be out and finallly get one on that stream.

Good job. I have yet to land my first fish in the C & R area. One of these days...
i fish lititz run alot and must say its a pretty tough stream the C&R section for sure. hang in there . as sal allways told me you will have your day on that stream. and he was rite.

I also find myself doing a lot of "blind fishing" on this stream as well. Usually when I see a fish, it sees me and the game is done at that point. I cast to 'likely holding water' and hope for the best. Fortunately the casting and walking is easy along LR...
yeah i fished down there on opening day for a bit. I dont see many fish down there tho. But that dosent mean there not there. I know for a fact that there are 3 or 4 really nice sized fish in the pool under the falls but you cant get you fly to them cause its so deep. Do you see many smaller fish in that area like in the 15 inch range or are they all larger ? im wondering how the stocked fish from last years tourney are holding over. Iv been catching some above the falls in the 10 inch range and thats awesome cause either they are the fingerlings from the banta property or stockers but i dont think they have stocked recently. I do have to spend more time down from the falls as I dont fish there enough. Oh yeah and I caught 2 people without badges there on opening day fishing with bait. Alot of these big fish there on LR are getting old and as they start to die off of old age we need the younger generation behind them lets continue to Pray for a good population on wild fish .Sal and I see more and more hatches every year. that means water quality is getting better. and I know of a few people that have caught wild bows near the springhouse.
