well i did quite well today. lots of fish and alot of big ones!
donegal creek:
donegal is extremely low in volume and the fish are being very skittish and selective. i did however catch 2 on a BWO #16, 1 on a mosqutio and one on a bugger(olive). i ran into another fisherman that admitted that he hasent seen any BWO's in the air but there takin them. also talked to the guy that owns the house off the stream where we can park. he is an avid flyfisherman and belongs to the donegal conservation assoc. he told me that in the evening the sulphurs are coming off. drivin the fish bats! although he said he hasent seen a single dun on the waters surface
lititz run:
i belong to the millport conservancy and have the badge. i fished in the conservancy area from 11-1:30. i caught so many fish i lost count. many many rises and many underwater takes. i caught alot of fish on BWO's size 16 & 20's. the fish that refused if i sized down would take a 20. i got alot on an adams irresistable size 18 and some on buggers. i got 3 pig rainbows measuring in the twentys and a pig rainbow in the 18 range. the one is by far the biggest trout i have caught on a dry fly. i only fished half the conservancy before the rain came in and washed all my fun away!
going back maybe towmorrow as long as the water doesnt get ruined by the rain. i should hit the C&R area too.
