I fished the C&R of Lititz Run this morning from 8:30-10:30.
Weather conditions: overcast, 61-66 air temp, calm, occasional raindrops.
Water: very low, clear, temp. cool enough for trout fishing.
Hatch activity: sparse midges, very sparse caddis
I was able to land two small browns on a size 24 grizzly dry fly midge. I got one rainbow on an olive/black wooly bugger. I also had a few fish spit out an egg pattern. The bigger browns have some nice color to them, but they are very spooky. Hopefully there will be lots of rain this week to help bring the creek up.
Anyone know if fishing is still permitted at the walk-in lane/wood bridge? I know they had trouble with duck hunters in the past' however, there is now a Posted sign at the end of the lane by the road. Has anyone fished since this went up?
