omg what an hour and a half of fishing. i caught 4 fish and had 3 break me off. nothing under 16 inches. i was fishing a adams parachute with various dropper flies. the one that worked was a quill gordon wet fly, of all things! i managed to catch one of the monster browns and i will post the pics in the photos section. what a day! 😎

fished lititz run today with even better results! landed 2 nice holdover rainbows and 3 huge holdover brown trout. one was an absolute beast! some on that quill gordon wet fly, one on an olive bugger, and 2 browns on an adams dry. great hour of fishing! one i soon wont forget. about to upload the pictures....heres one of the monster brown flapping as i went to snap a pic. you can see how fat he is in this. :-D

I have to wonder if Spectorfly may have had some previous encounters with that trout maybe?

I've had some real good luck with Quill Gordon wets, but the one I use isn't really a QGW. If possible, can you post a pic of the Quill you are using? Just curious if it is more like a Caddis wet or emerger.

as far as i know spectorfly didnt get this one=)
here is a pic i stole from the web. it looks exactly like the wetfly i was using.

As Sal and I discussed the other day, yes I have. He is a She. I caught her about a year ago abot 1 mile upstream. All the way upstream in the Millport Conservancy. She was spilling eggs out allover. My wife also caught her once.
Always wondered what happened to her. She literally looks and swims like a shark in the water.
