I'm really not sure I'm not familiar with the place,and he follows map quest directions from his phone to his vehicles radio that he knows no road names,no town names,he goes by turn left in 1 mile,then proceed to next intersection and go right,etc etc absolutely terrible with directions,he asked me where Ridgeway is I laughed I said you go through it every time you go to East Branch,he shrugs his shoulders and says I don't pay attention,I just listen to Google directions,

Dear Cougarbaby,

Your friend is as bad as my wife. I give her street names and mileages off the top of my head with specific directions and she always gets lost. She comes back and says, "Why didn't you tell me Jackson Street was where the tree is hanging over the fence at the blue house?" I'm like ?????????????????????????? 😉

She navigates by landmarks!

The only spillway I can think of on that creek is at Kingston where 217 meets 30.

Sadly I stay away from those areas as it requires me to get on the turnpike,I hate writing out checks especially to those overpriced heathons,lol

Hey guys we spent several hours fishing at Laurel Hill today. 4 of us caught a combined 12 trout including a nice sized Palimino that i caught. We finished the day on the loyalhanna catch and release section but only managed 1 small rainbow.

Nice color on that rainbow; might've been on an an organic diet a little longer than some.

Bob's Creek over by Blue Knob has 'em, but that might be a bit far of jaunt east from Ligonier. Stoney Creek River, too; but I haven't fished it in years.

Thats awesome man. Today was our last day in the great state of Pennsylvania. My friend and I went and fished linn run all day. We started above the state park and walked down stream almost to the lower parking lot.
We had an absolute great time, we picked so many brook trout from the tiny pools we lost count. I managed to also catch a couple rainbows from a couple of the pools.

Yes, we drove up to the park office and fished down stream. Very small run but alot of little pools that held plenty of little brookies. My little 3wt got a good workout.
My next trip over I will have a pair of hip waders for that creek. I was sweating something bad in chest waders. We did a lot of walking through a beautiful place.
I caught a good amount of brook and rainbows in 4 days but I was disappointed that i didn't get a brown . We fished a few hours in the delayed harvest section of the loyalhanna hoping for a brown but just a couple rainbow.

So i have a uneducated question for the experts . I caught these 2 brook trout a couple of days ago but im curious of why these 2 trout are marked so differently? Is it simply age?

Fish gotta eat everyday - Bobs stays cooler in Summer thanks to good canopy in the upper stretches - I really don’t fish it that much - but hatches in the spring, terrestrials in summer, and some hatches again in fall - can’t go wrong with a #14 Tan Elk Hair Caddis with a #16 Pheasant tail dropper 18 inches behind the Caddis from late April to early October - if you’ve got to fish Summer flows (I don’t if the water is above 65F) then use a big #14 black ant with an orange poly sighter - post pix or it didn’t happen!
