Fished from 0830 till noon, water was cool but low. Fresh stocked fish everywhere (mostly browns) but they were more interested in chasing each other than eating, unless I teased them with woolybuggers. Wanted to stay with drys or wets after catching a couple on woolybuggers ‘cause it just didn’t seam fair. Managed one stocked brown on soft hackle and half dozen wild brookies along with a bunch of fallfish on a tandem Caddis and assorted wets rig.
Don’t know if things will change after they settle down or there is just too little water and too many fish. Was fishing a hole with about a dozen and up through the middle of the fish came a 3 foot water snake, they didn’t even care about the snake.
Had a great day except for loosing my leader wallet (it’s brown leather about 6”x 6” x ½” just in case some one finds it.)
