Hit the Letort today for about half a days worth of fishing. With how clear the weather was, I wasn't sure how things were going to go. I usually end up watching my target fish swim erratically away as I slump over in disgust on days like this. But today was different for some reason. Got to a lower section of the stream around 8:00, and had it to myself the whole time I was there (which is the norm, actually). I then moved to Bonny Brook for about an hour. From the start, there was action. I used an olive scud all day, and drifted it through the lanes. Within the first half an hour, I had missed six. I hooked two enough to get them almost in, but they kicked off at the last minute. I decided an adjustment was needed, so I bent out my hook just slightly - that made all the difference! I didn't miss a hook-up after that. Landed 5 nice brownies in all, and got to enjoy another picture perfect day on the Letort.

Nice job. The Letort is never entirely predictable and bright sunny days have treated me surprisingly well in recent weeks.

I like the top fish - typical Letort fish with large, sparse spots.
