Fished Fox's Meadow from 12:30 to 3:30 this afternoon, and had the pleasure of meeting squaretail and his dog. He informed me that I was a "lurker" because I haven't posted any reports. So not wanting to be one any longer, here ya go. Arrived to bright sunshine and mild temps, 46 degrees. Worked my way from the rte. 81 overpass back up to below the pavillion. There were fish rising very sporadically from 2 oclock on. But like usual, them brownies didnt want anything that i through at them. And I pretty much tried every bwo, stonefly, and midge pattern that i had, did have a couple close inspections though. All in all it was a beautiful day out on the stream.

Probably midges and your size or color was probably just a bit off.

Leave it to squaretail to bust some balls  ;-)

Welcome. Glad to see you post.
Took one on top right before I left on a Gregs emerger just upstream of the monuments.
Did you speak with the other fellow that showed up?

I experienced the same last weekend up by bonnie brook. They are taking bwo's in the 24 to 26 range. I did see some larger bwo's but not many. Seem's like the browns were feeding right off the current seems of the grass beds. I'll be up there sunday with my 24 para bwo's with moose hair bodies. The same pattern worked on big spring last weekend too. After the crowd left I landed 2 brookies in the 15inch range and one rainbow about 10inces. This weekend should be incredible!!!

Did well yesterday. Caught 4 browns. Three over 12" and two closer to 15"...March is here...Fish are rising. Take your time and keep your eyes and ears open. Don't cast unless you see a trout feeding; thats my personal rule for this stream...
