Amazing. The only word I can use to describe this fishery. I honestly can't believe this was my first visit to the stream and I've been flyfishing this area now for about 5 years now. Getting around is however, difficult to say the least. Between the mud (quicksand), wind, and bright blue skies, I was aftaid this was gonna be my first skunk of 2013. Optimism goes a long way in flyfishing, and yesterday was no different. The Letort was nice enough to give me a taste of what she has to offer. I fished like I would any other stream this time of year. Started with a beetle. My 3rd drift of the day, and saw a fish dart out from under a weedbeds, only to come to a screeching hault and slowly sink back down... $hit!!! I immediately tied on a dropper. #18 pheasant tail. No legs, just a tiny brass bead. Fished from about 3-7 before I had to head back home. I would have loved to fish till dusk.... Had a great time and can't wait to get back! Ended up with over half a dozen fish and lost/missed at least 4. All but one came on the dropper. However the largest fish of the day, came on the beetle (which IMO, was the highlight). Big shout out to Klingy for helping me find the regs section. Can't wait to explore more, and ideally, hook into one of those pigs you see sliding between the weedbeds
