Really nice day out on the Letort. Winter weather has been very mild and today was no exception. A cold front had came through on Friday and was very windy the day before.

We arrived about 11:30 and fished until about 4:00. Air temps in the mid 40's, but felt much warmer. Light clouds cleared to a full sun all afternoon. Water was clear. Very little wind.

#18 BWO hatch came on from about the time we arrived until about 1:30. A pretty strong hatch for February. The fish did rise to the hatch, but only in a few areas.

Good to get out as the weather was exceptional.

Nice photos Dave!

Talk about a motley crew!

Nice report Dave. Hoping I can make it out there with the other Dave and Benny sometime this summer to fish the famed Letort for the first time.

Don't see the stringer of feesh-forget that pic? lol

I don't think I can remember when there has been such nice weather and good fishing in the dead of winter as the last several weeks. I've probably done more dry fly fishing this month than I did all of last autumn. It's just been unbelievable.

We caught fish, perhaps a dozen or so - nothing over about 12 inches. I don't have any fish pics.
Here's a couple more shots.

Nice work gents, felt like a nice day to be on the water, but had to get in one more marginal day of skiing before it really goes down the tubes. Maybe bump into ya'll out there soon...
