After reading about the Letort and thinking about going for some time, I finally made it happen yesterday. I hit the stream around 11:30 with the sun shining. I started on the upper section & fished there for about 3 hrs our so. I was quite pleased to bring 7 brownies to hand, especially after hearing the reputation of the stream. All caught on a streamer, swinging it thru the deeper pools & around the rocks. I could see many dart out to the streamer, only to turn at the last second. Had one nice fish that hit hard, only to disappear with my fly.
I then headed downstream to explore. I went down to the Quarry area & the meadows, but did more walking/observing than fishing. It's a beautiful stream laced with so much history. I will definitely be back to try my hand at this stream again. I hope yesterday was not just beginner's luck!
Here are the pics from the day. Enjoy!
