I just got over a nasty cold/sinus infection that I have been battling for the last two weeks. I couldn't take sitting in the house watching any more football so I decided to get out there this morning from 8-12pm and punch some streamers. I hit the Letort near Shady Lane and Rt. 11. Snow was beginning to melt and the runoff brought the stream level up as well as tinting the water green which I found ideal. Because of the conditions, I went with a BH Black Bugger on 4x with one split-shot. I did pretty well- nothing huge today...most fish were 10-13" with the nicest one going 15" with a beautiful butter yellow belly and lots of red spots. In all, I had about 10 "good hits" and hooked 6. I had a few quick releases as well as a few that were just screwing around chewing the tail. It was nice to get out today and have some action. After the holiday, I plan on hitting the water each day as my vacation comes to a close in a few days. If you are reading this, have a great holiday and here's to tight lines in '08!
