I fished the Letort on Sunday, in the rain, for about 4 hours. We started at Marinaro's meadow and worked up to the quarry. We each caught 1 brown. Both were on copper johns. I missed another on nymphs and my friend missed 2 on a no hackle dry. The fish were rising to a slight Baetis hatch. I have never fished this stream but have read a lot about it and it really is as tough as they say but well worth the trip. I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer when everything is grown up. I spend more than enough time in weeds and most of them are dead. Despite the rain, I left the stream very happy since I caught a Letort brown on my first attempt. Can't wait to try this stream again at Christmas.
