Lehigh River, Carbon Co., 4/28/2013

Fished upriver from Glen Onoko Sunday morning, 10-1. Water temp was 52 when I arrived and good caddis in the air. No fish on top, picked up just one on a PT.

Floated yesterday with Becker and PhilC. We found the same. Lots of caddis, some yellow stones and a few Hendricksons. Not many risers but we did catch some on top and on nymphing.

Yea, and I had 3 friends float from the gap down to a private boat launch between Walnutport and Treichlers. They told me lots of caddis and only one rise.

Would you guys have been floating below the Lehighton bridge around, say, 1 PM?

Fished GO to Lehighton Sunday... managed some browns and a nice 20"+ rainbow and smallies.

Yes. Launch was scheduled for 10:30 but that equals a 1 pm launch by Shane's watch. LMAO. We had 4 toons.

We floated from bowmanstown to walnutport, so we didn't pass through Lehighton...
Some decent flows for the weekend seemed to work out well for everyone...that said they just cranked back hard at FEW, and it's raining...hopefully that doesn't mean another blow out later this week, I didn't check how much water is in the res though...
With the temps coming out of the dam just hitting 50 for a few days, the upper end should wake up any day now...I did fished a trib to the gorge last weekend, it was still kinda cold but there was a brief Hendrickson party.
Looks like it'll be at least 2 weeks before I can get back up...who know what it'll be like then, I've learned not to get my heart set on anything in this river

Just one of those off days on the Lehigh. I am just glad no one caught the skunk from my group. I count a 20inch sucker on my part. lol

Fished the Tannery on Friday pm. Caught the end of the caddis hatch, but didn't see anything rising. Stuck around and pulled a couple from some fast water above the bridge on black WB.

Not many wild fish there, that's where they dump the stockies, get's pounded for the first week, anything wild in the area comes out via worm. North and South, more fish.
