laurel hill creek, somerset co, 5/6/11

my girlfriend had business to attend to at hidden valley resort, so I tagged along and had her drop me over the hill at laurel hill creek DHALO area near the boy scout camp. been 20 years since I fished there, still a pretty place. water was at a good level and fairly clear. fished downstream through the gorge area, got one rainbow on a hares ear, moved back up near the boyscout camp, some rises to a few caddis that were hatching, got 4 more on a good old adams. missed probably 6 or 7 others.
a great day to be on a creek. had an osprey fly 10 feet over my head, could hear the wind through his feathers, very cool. gonna tag along with her again when she has to go up there for work!!
the turnpike sucks though.
