Fished Laurel Hill today from 11-4.

Parked at the bridge at the lower end of the Delayed Harvest project. Water was cold and the air was cold as well. The flow was high but mostly clear. Some snow still remains around the creek.

Very few bugs. It was junk flies underneath all day. Caught one of the bigger stockers. That rainbow will not win any beauty contest but it was fun to take the fly out of the hookjaw.

Had'nt fished there for several years. Attached is an article from the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette from this Sunday's paper. Figured I take a shot at it on Saint Paddy's Day.

looks like a pink salmon!

exactly what i was gonna say! Nice catch, but he must be uncomfortable on that sand.

Wow, that rainbow rivals the brown from Friday. You must be living right!

One of my favorite streams to fish when I'm out west but I hope the "draw" issue is addressed soon. I know the impoundments are popular for the scouts (and others) but I wouldn't mind seeing the dams removed.
