Fished the regulated water in the state park.
Water temp. 63 F. Stream conditions very good, slightly off-color and above avg. flow, IMO.
Didn't see anyone else on the stream. My wife and I took our dog and I only fished for about an hour. I got bored. Tried a small pheasant tail nymph and then a bushy 16 dry fly with no response. We then walked the trails, had lunch and drove home. Still a good day.
I welcome any and all fly suggestions.

Don,

Did you see many fish? My experience last year was that, while fish do survive the summer in this stream, not all of them do. Fishing will pick up October 2nd when they stock again.

Try some egg patterns later this fall November/December.

Not to pee on your campfire but the last couple of summers have been very harsh on this stream. BTW does anybody know if the town is still diverting water away Laurel Hill? This was a hot topic maybe 2 years back and IMO much of the reason why the stream suffered so much in the summer.
