Warm water delight!
With this super warm weather, and spring a couple days ago, the lake bluegills are hungry and invading the shallow water!
I gave the trout in the C&R waters a break for a little while..... the regular trout season opens in 6 days.
I've been catchin' pretty good at Lake Marburg with my 3wt. This lake has 26 miles of shoreline, and one hundred shore fishermen with live bait and cheapo WallyWorld rods! So no spotburn here!! Actually, I wish I saw another fly guy sometimes? I gave the invite for a couple on this site to fish with me?
I'm wading now, but soon to get a float tube, and the 'gills are in a pre spawn feeding frenzy now.
I've been doing great on foam spiders 14, and weightless emerger mini buggers 14, and tung beadhead buggers 14.
Flyrods are supreme in this lake! I always outfish the bait boys! I must have caught close to 100 today. Some nice size also! I always release everything, unharmed, some big females already had eggs.
Water temp in the upper 50's and the lake is always clear..... even after a big rain.
Test run for ImageShack.
