Fished the lower Lackawaxen along the towpath. I didn't expect much because at this time of year, it is usually low and warm. Pleasantly surprised! The water temp was borderline - upper 60's and the flow was decent. The coldwater releases during the week from the power plant will help keep the trout going.
Caught MANY good sized rainbows and a brown. Also several smallmouth. I didn't see much of a regular hatch, but the fish were rising. Seemed like they would take anything that was presented drag free.
