Couldn't resist the urge/temptation to swing the rod a little today. With the increased runoff from the warmup it was Chocolate Milk ! Threw a few big buggers in black but came up with nothing. Was still fantastic to feel the sun and get into the water ! Anyone looking for new waders for the season A&G Outfitters has some sales going on now. Got a nice pair of Orvis's today.

Don't feel bad. My last two outings (Donegal FFO & Muddy Creek FFO) both produced a skunking. The runoff from the snow melt really has the waterways off-color... Regardless, this early in the year it's nice to get out and cast some line.

I went to Muddy Creek about 4 years ago on my birthday after 3 days of rain. It really did look like chocolate milk. I just wanted to get out so bad that I stayed and fished. It was borderline dangerous wading with logs and branches bobbing past me and there was only one section even safe enough to wade into.

What was I in violation of , Starting a new post when one was already there or not being specific on the title or both lol. See I alawys get in trouble when I don't read the manual first lol.

I hear you there . I don't like fishing unfamiliar water when visibility is low. I was doing what I like to call the feel n slide shuffle lol. It was flowing pretty good but I did not even bother to get a reading on the lvl I was just happy to swing the rod a few times and it was a perfect scenario for practice anyways lol. I have alot to learn yet wit the fly rod thats for sure.

Mostly the title, need to make sure for the stream reports page that you include the following in the title; Stream name, County and date.

Other than that the strictlers will occassionally pounce on you for not including detailed info, like stream temps, hatches, time of day, flies used, mothers maiden name, how many red spots your fish had and GPS coordinates to your spot so you can spend 10 minutes picking up worm containers and opened sweet corn cans upon your next visit. :lol:

You know, just a detailed report at your discretion. ;-)

But I wouldn't worry about that Sal guy, he seems to know plenty of excellent places to fish already.
