Drove my wife, son & his girlfriend to RG for a day of hiking. I decided to try a little fishing. A park ranger steered me to Kitchen Creek below 118. I hiked down the stream about 1/4 mile to a very nice run with a deep hole. I've been reading about the stealth techniques that some of the younger fellows on the board use on wild streams so I carefully shimmied over a large boulder and cast a black ant near a ledge. Bang! I got a srike and hauled in a 12-13" beautiful brook trout. I then headed upstream and using my new stealth I eased myself onto a ledge so I could cast upstream. I soon as I drew back my feet slipped out from under me and I slid right into the stream on my rear. That ended my stealth approaches for the day. Didn't catch anymore but saw numerous trout.
