Thanks for the information, Dagored. Do you know this first-hand or have a source where you found this? The costs of this may out outweigh the benefits in my mind. How do they know this is not causing more harm than good? How big was the problem to begin with? What types of invasives were a problem? How often do they respray? Do they keep herbicides away from streams and spring seeps? Do they monitor streams for the presence of herbicide?
Any information or links you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Is the herbicide being applied on riparian buffers or higher on side hills/ mountain tops where logging is occurring? DCNR and Game Commission routinely are spraying understories as part of overall forest management to try and improve regeneration of native and desirable tree species. For example many oak and coniferous species need fire and lots of sun to regenerate. I have no experience in the area where the mentioned spraying occurred, just a general statewide observation.
