I fished from 3-6 roughly on Kish in one of my favorite stretches and caught and missed a ton of fish. Started off nymphing one of my favorite riffles and caught nothing. Switched to a streamer and first cast hooked up with a nice chunky 16" leftover bow (not pictured.) I then found fish in all sorts of water as I worked upstream and every other fish was a wild brown. I caught a ton but lost the two best fish. The most surprising part is that I didn't pull a fish out of some of the nicest water in this stretch. I caught wild browns on nymphs, streamers, and dries. It was a perfect day on the water.

Today (10/25) I fished from about 12-1:30 and only landed one stockie bow. I was downstream in Recreation Park area which has some nice water and plenty of wild browns but not as many as other places. Either way I met a nice guy that seemed to be an enthusiastic fisherman and also a flyfisherman but today he was briefly using some spinning gear while in town..the water temp on 10/24 was 56° and the fish were very agressive. The water is pretty low but I pulled fish out of some pretty skinny water. No signs of redds or spawning fish yet. We could definitely use some rain.

Notice how that left over stockie bow is missing part of his gill plate cover. I wonder if that is how it came out of the hatchery or damage from a previous angler....

Fished the Kish in early October for the first time. Caught one nice rainbow. Stream flow was low. Can't wait to get back up there. It sure is a pretty creek.

Kish is my favorite as everyone who knows me knows. But yes, we need some rain. The flow is only 43.7 cfs as of right this moment.
