I wanted to fish the Juniata but it is terribly high and muddy so I looked elsewhere. I made it onto the water around 1:15 pm or so and fished for only an hour. Water was stained but flows were only at 260 cfs at the Reedsville gauge. I fished lower Kish where the stream is a bit larger at one of my favorite riffles. The water temp was 66°. I fished a tandem nymph rig of a green weenie down to a nymph I created to look like a hellgramite. Caught 4 fish (2 wild browns, 1 stockie brown and 1 stockie bow) in an hour before I had to leave. All fish took the large hellgramite/stonefly looking nymph. A pleasant morning but lower Kish is starting to approach the upper limit of fishable temps in my opinion.
