Heading out to kinzua creek Saturday morning to fish the creek and the south branch. After the rain today and the little bit of rain this weekend, wanted to know if it would still be fishable or worth the trip. About a 3 hr drive from where I am, and it was stocked this week. Will be wading but assuming that won’t be much of an issue. I know the problems in the area these recent years so do fish still inhabit it? Thanks all!

I’m up in the region now.
But we’re a bit East of Kinzua area.( We’re in Potter).
They got a lot of rain Wednesday night in the region.
Most creeks running up, but fishable.
We had more rain last night also.

South Branch usually clears up fast.
You also have smaller tribs that run into Kinzua.

The gauge is definitely up right now but keep an eye on it because I've consistently had great days when it's on its way down. My experience tells me that it will probably be higher than you'd like tomorrow morning though.

East Branch Tunungwant & Lewis Run are great Class A waters nearby and are great options if the Kinzua is higher than you're comfortable wading in.

fished Kinzua on Wednesday , Grannoms everywhere, very few fish raising

How can I access Lewis run? Struggling finding an access point on the map. Kinzua was pretty blown not awful though

I've always accessed it in the ANF area via pulloffs along 219. Lewis run parallels the highway for a few miles that make for relatively easy access.
