Water level seems a little low. We need some rain. Had sporadic Hendricksons and Blue Quills all afternoon and the fish were on them like fleas on a junkyard dog. Never left the pool at the bridge and had surface feeding fish all afternoon. Fish were very selective and the #14 Hendrickson Secret Weapon Emerger was the fly of the day.

I'll be up that way this weekend. I thought the BQ and Hendrickson's would be early. Think they'll hang around until Sunday?

Definitely. Nothing real solid just yet. I believe you'll have a good time of it.

BTW, I inadvertantly listed the wrong emerger. The Krystal Dun was the big ticket today.

Festus: - did you ever find out if that hole where I ran into you is posted now?
I might be heading up there next week

I will be fishing the kettle next wed through next sat, think the hatches will hold up until next weekend?

bogrouse:

there's usually always something hatching on kettle creek in the spring time.
If the hendricksons and blue quills are over by then, you'll see march browns and caddis
