Kettle Creek FFO 7/6/08

We ended our trip with Kettle Creeks FFo stretch and encountered the best dryfly fishing of the entire weekend. A small pale mayfly was coming off but i coukldnt catch one to see what it was. No matter... a small pale BWO and a small sulphur did the trick.

We had the bridge at the lower fly area to ourselves and there are a crap ton of trout in there. We each caught numerous fish on dries, nymphs, eggs and just about what ever we had.

I went downstream out of the fly area and caught a few fish down there. It was nearing 4 pm and time to go home. I cant wait to go back. This wasent all the streams we visited...just the ones i feel comfortable talking about! :-D

All, if you want to discuss the stream report and conditions, fine, but a debate or argument about posting of any particular stream is not permitted in the stream report forum. I was going to leave the initial reply alone, but a decision was made not to tolerate such debates in the stream reports section, so I want to follow that directive from Dave Kile and will be deleting the previous posts. It's a light Cahill. They were all over the place this morning on the Allegheny.

Nice. I should have known. Those little guys were emerging and flying high to fast for me to catch one. I thought about tying on a Light Cahill but the sulphur was working just fine. Thanks again for the info.
