Fished Kettle this weekend, FFO section.
Weather: Absolutely Gorgeous!
Temps: rising to near 60F during the day.
Water: Low and Gin clear, 40F to 44F
What a weekend to fish this stream,my partner and I were able to locate trout in some deeper runs and were able to hook up some nice Rainbows 12 to 14 inches. olive parachute flies, black ant, pheasant tail nymphs, and griffith gnats fooled these fish.
Although they seemed to be rising to what I think were tricos.
Highlight of the weekend, moments after playing and releasing a heafty 14in Rainbow, A Bald Eagle paid us a visit as it flew up stream directly over the stream, not more than 25 to 30 ft. above us!!
