Fished the afternoon. Caught this Stony Creek Angler hatchery Brookie on a caddis pupa, rust/beadhead, size 16. About 14 inches and some girth. Fought like a tasmanian devil, lol!

Saw a blue trout on Stony under the RR bridge.

Plenty of fish in there. Caught a decent brown trout on a peacock quill/chickaboo(black and white) soft hackle furthur downstream.

Anyone ever have any success furthur down Stony by the Elmwood Park Zoo? Looks like some nice holes there.

Sorry, forgot to mention:

Water clear, not too low, temps in the 60 degree range.

Hatches midges, small bwos and saw a few large sulphurs 🙂

Some surface activity, but not sure what they were after.

Good to know, yea thats a nice chunky club fish, tons in there. And theres a nice big hole with alot of fish behind the zoo at the baseball field.
