Put in at the Millerstown boat launch above the bridge. Ran upstream a 1/2 mile and crossed to the far bank. Drifted down throwing a crayfish pattern. The water was slightly brown from the overnight rain. My son was throwing rebel surface grasshopper lures. Both of us had lots of action with most bass in the 12-15" range. Fished from 8-11:30 AM.

I've had some really good smallmouth fishing in September. I'm not sure what it is about September. Maybe the water temperature ranges are ideal for them.

Do you think I could run a 16' with a jet drive there?

Yes, my son's jon boat is a 17' with a jet motor. However the river right now is about the lower limit for the boat launch.

Thanks, the Susquehanna where I live near Columbia has been so low most of the summer I was apprehensive of putting in. I'm hoping for fall rain.

If you want to fish the Juniata and not sure about the depth, you can always put in at Muskrat Springs launch.

not sure if people saw this, but the walker launch is closed for a little while
