Fished the Juniata on Sunday from approx. 1PM until 6PM, on a 7 mile float. We covered a lot of water trying to locate some fish. Bite was pretty slow all day, with not many fish moved. My buddy lost a monster, though. Seems like the colder nights coupled with the rain on Saturday slowed the fishing down. Water was colder than expected.
Definitely good to get acquainted with that stretch of river though, we will be back.
Water Temps: Guessimated in the mid 50s
Flow: Upper 1700 CFS, dropping
Clarity: Mostly clear, some slower pools were more turbid
Flies that worked were all smaller streamers.
