Put my toon in at the new Howe Township PFBC launch site. Floated to Amity Hall. The water was reading a little over 80 in the afternoon. Caught most bass in the fast water using a chartruse clouser minnow. Later in the day I switched to poppers and caught the best fish of the day on top. All in all a good day with lots of action. No big boys, but plenty of 12-14 inchers. Lots of smaller bass too. Water is real low. Only had one motor boat wiz by up by the launch where there is more water. Lots of grass in most of the river. First time floating and fishing this section of the river. Some of those heavy riffles you can see from 322 are very deep, even with the low river flows. Most biters were in the 1-2' of fast water. Saw lots of large bass in the deep slow water, but not biters. Also very few kayakers in this section. Just two groups of 6 came by the entire day.

Nice job. The "J" seems to be pretty hot this summer with lots of fish in multiple year classes. Great to see.
